Somethun To Consider
For my first "official" post on the 453 I figure it can't hurt to throw out some quick and interesting info. Does anyone know without looking up when UTA was established? Anyone? Back in 1970 is when it all began. UTA now has more than 600 buses that average over 58,300 passengers daily. That's alot of oil changes and tire rotations. If there was no public transit delays would increase by 27 percent. You are also 25 times less likely to die in a traffic accident when you ride public transit versus a personal vehicle. Americans lose $63 billion per year in productivity sitting in traffic. Consider this by riding UTA that it allows someone else to do the driving stress free (esp those white knuckle winter traffic mornings) for shopping, appointments, work commuting etc. By riding public transit also helps reduce traffic congestion and assists in overall better environmental quality.

I like the part about not dieing cuz I ride the bus.
I bet my chances of dying in a crosswalk increase a ton though. :)
As this post and experience on the bus shows, The Tuck Man's super power/ weapon of choice is "The Google" Yes, Tuck Man wields the Google, he will check your facts and confirm your fears. He even confirmed that the town I was arguing with MotorTales about did exist.
